The solar power plant is a power-generating structure capable of generating 160 megawatts during the day and 112 megawatts during the night. It is unlocked by meeting the Grand City milestone.
Description[]
The solar power plant produces electricity with its large solar panels and stores power in batteries built underground. During the night the solar power plant distributes stored electricity from the batteries, so it contributes to electricity production even during the night.
(Old) Harness the power of the sun and convert it to clean energy. Solar power plant is a green choice but costs a lot. During the night solar power does not produce electricity.

Trivia[]
- The model is based of concentrated solar power plants with solar towers. Which use mirrors and a tank of (typically) molten salt to catch and store heat energy. The description however, describes a completely different type of solar power plant.
- After the "After dark" DLC, the solar power plant used to not provide any power at all during the night time.
